How to Use
Adults and children from 12 years: 5-10mL every 4 hours, not exceeding 6 doses on the same day. Alternatively, you can take 15mL at intervals of 6-8 hours, not exceeding 4 daily doses. Children from 6 to 12 years old: 2.5-5mL every 4 hours, not exceeding 6 daily doses. Alternatively, you can take 7.5mL at 6-8 hour intervals, not exceeding 4 daily doses.
Indications: Benflux Dry Cough is a non-prescription drug in the form of an oral solution. The active substance is dextrametorphan hydrobromide, a synthetic morphine derivative with central antitussive action. The effect occurs 30 minutes after administration and lasts 4 to 5 hours. It is indicated in the symptomatic treatment of cough of irritative and non-productive origin. It is contraindicated in case of allergy or hypersensitivity to any of the components of the medicine, if you suffer from respiratory failure, asthma, productive cough, if you are or were up to 14 days ago on treatment with monoaminoxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. If you do not feel better or get worse after 5 days of treatment, you should see your doctor. If in doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
