How to Use
Apply directly to the affected areas 3 to 4 times a day. Bandages or bands can be used. Do not exceed a maximum period of 14 consecutive days of application.
Indications: Betadine Ointment is a non-prescription medicine in the form of an ointment, belonging to the group of medicines called antiseptics and disinfectants. It is indicated in the adjunctive topical treatment of varicose ulcers, decubitus ulcers, wounds of traumatic or surgical origin. The use of this medication is not advised in case of allergy or hypersensitivity to any of its constituents, in individuals with hyperthyroidism or other acute thyroid diseases, in newborns up to 1 month of age, in the first trimester of pregnancy or for a prolonged period during the 2nd. and 3rd. trimester of pregnancy. Prolonged use during lactation is not advised. It is not suitable for concomitant use with other mercury-containing antiseptics. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
