Dulcolax Coated Tablets

Adults and children over 10 years: 1 to 2 tablets before bedtime. Children from 6 to 10 years: 1 tablet before bedtime. It should not be given to children under the age of 6 years.

Indications: Dulcolax Coated Tablets is a Non-Prescription Medicine whose active substance is Bisacodyl, a contact laxative of the diphenylmethane group indicated in cases of constipation. This drug undergoes metabolism by hydrolysis and its metabolites stimulate the mucosa of the large intestine, causing peristalsis of the colon and stimulation of defecation. This medication allows to reduce the intestinal transit time and soften the stool. Dulcolax is indicated in cases of constipation, for the preparation of diagnostic aids, in the pre and postoperative treatment and whenever an easier evacuation is desirable. This medicine is contraindicated in case of allergy or hypersensitivity to bisacodyl or any other constituent, in cases of ileus, intestinal occlusion, severe situations of abdominal surgery, acute appendicitis, severe inflammatory diseases in the intestines and severe abdominal pain associated with nausea and vomiting, which can be indicative of more serious pathology, and in case of severe dehydration.
