Indications: Maalox Plus Chewable Tablets is a Non-Prescription Drug. It consists of an antacid medication that does not cause constipation or flatulence due to its balanced combination of aluminum hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide and simethicone. This medicine is indicated for the symptomatic relief of disorders of the digestive system such as heartburn, infarction and flatulence. Maalox Plus is contraindicated in case of allergy or hypersensitivity to aluminum and magnesium salts, simethicone or any other constituent of the drug, in individuals with severe renal impairment, in children under the age of 15 years. Since aluminum hydroxide can cause constipation and overdose of magnesium salts can cause intestinal hypomotility, as well as high doses of the drug can aggravate intestinal obstruction in high-risk patients such as patients with kidney failure, and children under the age of 2 years or elderly patients, it is advisable to take special care when using Maalox Plus in these cases. How to Use
Adults and adolescents over the age of 15: 2 to 4 chewable tablets, 4 times a day, without exceeding 16 tablets daily. Chew or allow the tablets to dissolve in your mouth 20 minutes after meals and at bedtime.
