Indications: Loperamide Ratiopharm is a Non-Prescription Drug indicated for the symptomatic treatment of acute diarrhea. The active substance, Loperamide, acts on the muscles of the intestine, reducing the frequency of discharges in case of diarrhea. This medicine is contraindicated in case of allergy or hypersensitivity to any of the constituents and in children under the age of 10 years. Do not take Loperamide as a first-line treatment in the isolated treatment of acute dysentery, characterized by high fever and blood in the stool, in case of acute ulcerative colitis and pseudomembranous colitis associated with broad-spectrum antibiotics, in case of bacterial enterocolitis caused by invasive organisms including Salmonella, Shigela and Campylobacter, if it is necessary to avoid peristalsis due to the possible risk of significant sequelae including subocclusion, megacolon and toxic megacolon and in case of abdominal distension, constipation and in case of acute episodes of hemorrhagic retocolitis.

How to Use
Adults and children over the age of 12: Take 2 tablets as a starting dose and then 1 tablet after each diarrheal excretion, up to a maximum of 4 tablets per day.
